It's been a over a month now since my last entry and I wish I could say it's because my writing career has taken off so that I'm mad busy, but that ain't so. A lot has happened in the world and not so much with my personal life. I had another birthday last Friday, I'm closer to mid-30's and breaths closer to death. My youngest child had a first birthday this past Friday. I opened a Facebook account, after vowing that I would never and now I'm kinda hooked. I've connected with a number of people I only spoke with on occasion since high school and some I haven't seen since May 1994. I now have some new cyber friends, which is convenient because they don't require more of your time than it takes to write an e-mail or comment and press send.
Personally though, it's still been work, home, family, living check to check, no money for a real vacation and stagnation with my writing so although people are moving around me, events are happening, others lives are changing daily, I feel like I'm standing still, being lapped by life.
The most exiting, well unexpected news for most of the world though, has been the death of Michael Jackson on June 25, 2009. I'll sum it up that he was a very, very large talent and will be truly missed. Also that of Farrah Fawcett, Ed McMahon, E. Lynn Harris, and others in the entertainment industry and from reports on the local news. I'm certain all of those people have someone who will miss them dearly, known and unknown alike.
Well, I don't know what's going to happen to me, maybe I'll get into the race with life and see if I can medal or at the very least, get off the bench, get into the game just a little as to not have it entirely pass me by without me having even tried. I have to at least make an attempt.
Goodnight all.
